“ | Without question, Marshall, Carter and Dark are one of the most important pieces on the chessboard of the anomalous world; occasionally putting other players into check, but never into mate. For Marshall, Carter and Dark, the planet is an intricate network they have secured safely beneath their thumb, where winning and losing are meaningless terms. There is no need to move pieces when you can move the board. When you can end the match at any time, there's only one reason to continue.

Marshall, Carter & Dark, Ltd. (MC&D) (GoI-012, GoI-121, GoI-132 or GoI-0561) is a high society club that specializes in the acquisition and sale of anomalous items, entities, and experiences. MC&D is generally non-confrontational and affable unless a group, such as the SCP Foundation, threatens their business dealings. Even so, they use their financial and political ties to achieve their goals. Foundation personnel have been known to have been paid off by MC&D in exchange for information or items.
They are known not to shy away from unethical means of obtaining profit, such as drug trafficking, weapon trafficking, or even human trafficking. However, they are careful to avoid anomalies that could bring upon the end of the world.
